A Bit About Me

From Marine Biology to Forest Fitness

A few moons ago, I was a marine biologist studying muscle and how environmental temperature affects swimming perfomance in fish. I loved the science, as well as having to spend numerous hours on wind-swept beaches collecting specimens.

In 2004, I moved to Sydney with my husband. It was here that outdoor fitness became a huge part of my life, due to some wonderfully inspiring people. After 13 years, my family and I set up home in beautiful east Devon. With such awe-inspiring nature on our doorstep, I decided to set up Ottery Forest Fit in 2019.

My Goal

My aim is to show you a way to better health through movement that improves your muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness, through connection to nature that offers a myriad of  health benefits for both body and mind, and  through connection to others who are on your wavelength and will make you smile.

What I Offer

I run outdoor exercise sessions in Ottery St Mary and among the Forestry Commission-managed trees of East Hill Strips. These include small group Circuit, Core & Strength and Run Fitness classes.

I am a graduate of The Nutrition Academy, Australia (International Accreditation and Recognition Council accredited) and can work with you to help you achieve your weight goals.

I am also a Move It or Lose It instructor and currently run weekly, indoor classes in Ottery St Mary and Aylesbeare. The exercise is fun, functional, often to music and can be done seated or standing.

I also offer 1:1 sessions in which we can address your specific goals.
