Sessions

Classes are held in line with the local schools’ terms. Booking is for the term or pay-as-you-go (PAYG). If you have booked for the term and miss a class, you’re welcome to make it up in another class that week. PAYG is an option as long as there’s room in the class (please contact me to book). Sessions

Forest Circuits

An hour of circuits that includes some interval training in the forest. The exact location changes each week. Most exercise is body weight but we may also use resistance bands, skipping ropes and natural equipment such as logs. Maximum group size is 10. All levels welcome.

Calm, Core & Strength

A calm, no-impact class in the forest or garden. The focus is on strength, particularly core, using Pilates and conventional exercises. All levels welcome.

Run Fitness

This class incorporates interval, strength and balance training to improve both your cardiovascular fitness and running technique. The evening class in Ottery is 45 minutes whilst the forest class is an hour. 

Monday Morning HIIT

This is a 45 minute Zoom class at 7am on a Monday that aims to get your body moving and your heart rate up. It is a great way to start your week! I offer alternatives to the exercises so you can work at a level that suits you.

One to One

I can help you achieve your health and fitness goals, including weight loss and healthy eating. If you have a friend who has the same goals, I can tailor a program for two people. 

Older Adults Fitness

Location

Classes take place in and around Ottery St Mary, Devon, with most outdoor sessions being up at East Hill, just outside Ottery.

Prices

Pay by the term (usually 6-7 weeks in line with the local schools) for the cheapest option.

Occasional drop-in is £10 a class.

Frequently asked questions

I'm not very fit, can I do your classes?

I provide alernatives to the exercises so that everyone can work at a level that’s suitable for them. With consistent, sensible exercise, you will get fitter.

Can I change which class I come to each week depending on my shifts?

Absolutely!

What happens if I miss a class?

You are welcome to come to another class in the same week. This includes the Zoom session at 7 am on a Monday morning, which is also recorded.

Where are Move It or Lose It Classes?

Move It or Lose It classes are at the Institure  in Ottery on Tuesdays 10-11 am and in Aylesbeare Village Hall on Thursdays 10-11 am. I also run the Ottery Help Scheme seated exercise classes on Fridays. Please get in touch with the OHS if you are interested in attending those.

I have an old injury/health condition - can I do your classes?

Please first check with your GP or specialist about your condition.  

Can I bring my dog to your outdoor classes?

If your canine companion would benefit from some extra time outdoors, then he or she is welcome to join the Friday Run Fitness session.
